Hot off the easel!
Fellow tweeps and all around awesome people stinkerpants and yorkey won last month’s free custom dog portrait give-away on twitter. I just finished Lulabelle’s new portrait and here she is…

I have to say these twitter “studies” are going better than I anticipated and I am really looking forward to incorporating more of this style into my commissioned work.

This is seriously the most gorgeous thing I have ever seen!! I am totally speechless!! I’m seriously in shock. AND I’m having a really hard time not using expletives!! I cannot believe how gorgeous this is, Aimee! Thank you SO, SO MUCH!!

The more I look at it, the more I love it. You are SO talented!! And the COLOR! OMG the color. It’s GORGEOUS!!!

Aimee… this is amazing! It looks just like her! You really conveyed that look she always has–that sweet, concerned look in her eyes along with the “what’s going on!?” radar positioning of her ears. I can’t wait to show her. Even though she’s color-blind and will probably be more interested in the packaging than the actual painting I’m sure she’ll love it as much as we do!

This is a wonderful picture of my granddog. Do you think Sara and Yorkey will give it to me to hang above my fireplace. (I don’t think so) Wonderful work and really catches the essence of lulu. Thank you.

This painting is incredible. I am a Lulubelle fan (and occasionally get to board her in my home). You have captured her essence and unique beauty.
